Kansas Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics

TheĀ Kansas Chapter, American Academy of PediatricsĀ (KAAP) incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1977. The Kansas Chapter represents 85% of all the practicing pediatricians in the state and currently has a membership of over 450.

KAAP collaborated with Kansas Action for Children, Kansas Health Foundation, Kansas Health Institute, Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), the Kansas Health Policy Authority (KHPA) and United Methodist Health Ministry Fund to on the Kansas KidLink mental health project. 

In 2008, KAAP set up the task force to help increase mental health resources for children and adolescents across the state. Kansas KidLink is a statewide resource of mental health providers that see children sorted by county.
